Gilli Danda, also known as Tip Cat, is an ancient game with origins that date back over 2,500 years. It is widely regarded as a precursor to several Western sports, including cricket, baseball, and softball.

The game is played with two sticks: a larger one called Danda (Dandan), used to strike the smaller stick known as Gilli (Gulli).

Gameplay Mechanics:

In India, it is referred to by several local names including dānggűli, chinni-kolu, kottiyum kolum, vitti Dandu, kitti pul, and Gooti-Billa across various states like Bengal, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Andhra Pradesh.
